0

An amendment to end the war on medical marijuana is coming to the Senate.

Senators Rand Paul and Cory Booker will introduce an amendment blocking the federal government from using taxpayer dollars to crack down on state medical marijuana programs.

Please call your senators to support the Paul / Booker Amendment ending the federal war on medical marijuana.

Find the senators’ phone numbers¬†and our script below.

Sample script:

Hello, my name is ____{name}____. I’m a constituent of Senator ____{name}____ and I’m calling to ask he/she support an end to federal interference in state medical marijuana programs.

Sens. Rand Paul and Cory Booker are co-sponsoring an amendment to the Justice Department budget bill that would do exactly that. A similar amendment has already passed with bi-partisan support in the House.

It’s time for the federal government to stop wasting resources harassing patients and caregivers in states that have sanctioned medical marijuana. I urge Senator ____{name}____ to support this amendment when it comes up for a vote

Senator Quotes Bible To Tout Cannabis

marijuanaAn Oklahoma state senator has turned to the bestselling book in history — the Bible — to advance her battle to legalize marijuana in the state, arguing that God created the “miraculous plant.”

In this Dec. 5, 2013, photo marijuana matures in ideal conditions at the Medicine Man dispensary and grow operation in northeast Denver. As Colorado prepares to be the first in the nation to allow recreational pot sales, opening Jan. 1, hopeful retailers are investing their fortunes into the legal recreational pot world, all for a chance to build even bigger ones in a fledgling industry that faces an uncertain future. State Sen. Constance Johnson’s new campaign is apparently based on Genesis 1:29, which deals with the biblical story of creation and the Lord’s intentions for mankind.

The verse reads: “Then God said, ‘I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.’”

The scripture is being used to tout Johnson’s effort to create a constitutional amendment that would legalize three ounces of pot for medicinal purposes and one ounce for recreational use in Oklahoma, according to KFOR-TV.

“We’re putting forth Genesis 1:29 as the basis of this campaign,” she said after filing a statewide initiative to try and take the issue to voters, the outlet reported. “God created this wonderful, miraculous plant and we know that it has been vilified for the last 100 years, and it’s time to change that in Oklahoma.”

Johnson is arguing that legalization would alleviate burdens on prisons that house non-violent drug offenders and provide monetary benefits to the state, as there would be a $7 per ounce tax on recreational marijuana.

Cannabis Raid Court Support Request

0

Who: Laura Sharp
What: Return of Property Motion Hearing
Where: Department 22 of the Vista Courthouse, 325 South Melrose Dr. Vista, CA 92081
When: 1:30PM, Friday, June 13th, 2014

Laura Sharp, a legal medical cannabis patient and directing member of SocalPURE inc., will be in court Friday in Vista for a motion to return property confiscated in a raid on the legal medical cannabis establishment located in San Diego’s north county.

On October 9, 2013, law enforcement in riot gear forced their way into SocalPURE, a non profit mutual benefit corporation. The armed men threw people to the ground, screaming “where are the guns” and yelling obscenities in Laura’s face. The officers handcuffed everybody on-site and kept them that way for six hours.

This raid was a terrifying display of force on a legal business. No attempt was made to establish lawfulness, no effort was made to check documentation and financial records before the defendants were terrorized and treated as criminals. Further, the charges were dropped making this a politically driven message from San Diego District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis that your life will be turned upside down if you provide cannabis medicine to legal patients. Even though Dumanis is aware she can’t win in court she is doing an end-run around California state law and stealing the assets of vulnerable cannabis cooperatives.

During the raid thousands of dollars in electronics were taken by the armed gunmen, proceeds from the day and even the cash was stolen out of Laura’s wallet. Charges were filed against Laura and two co-defendants then dropped unceremoniously by Deputy DA, Landy Spencer-Daly in April. Spencer-Daly also participated in the raid on SocalPURE inc.

Laura Sharp’s attorney Michael Cindrich has filed a motion asking the courts to order law enforcement to release Laura’s property. Please come to Vista Court, 325 South Melrose Dr. Vista, CA 92081 and stand with Laura. Proceedings begin at 1:30PM, Friday, June 13, 2014.

Soros Pulls Plug On Calif Legal Weed Vote

0

Legal cannabis was to have been on the Nov ’14 ballot. But in a last minute move hedge fund CEO George Soros and his minions pulled their signature gathering support. It’s unlikely at this point that the measure will be voted on this on the November. The Soros group feels ’16 is better.

Why? 55% of Calif residents favor legalizing recreational Cannabis. Let’s go for it.

Who needs Soros? He isn’t our team. Soros is on Soros’s team.

If his group cancelled support until 2016 it is because it’s more beneficial for his business plan.

Let’s face it if 55% of the people are for legal toke then why not strike while the iron is hot. The real reasons for the Soros last minute bail out will eventually surface. In my opinion the change of heart doesn’t pass the smell test. That’s my take.

We called Soros’ office for a comment. No one was available to answer our questions and they have not returned our calls.

President Obama & Cannabis

0

More kudos to our President !

President Obama has alluded to being for legalizing marijuana. He has gone as far to say that he will leave the legalization process to Congress. That is the same as saying he will not fight a common sense legalization movement at the federal level.

It would be fantastic if President Obama, himself, put forth a bill to legalize marijuana and present it to Congress ?

That would do two things: It would instantly ramp up the discussion about the benefits of cannabis and accelerate its legalization.

Mr. President, if you would back our request for marijuana legalization your poll numbers could probably improve by as much as 7-10 points.

Of course there is always the pen, the phone and an executive order.

Obama & Marijuana : This Bud’s For You

0

President ObamaThank you President Obama for the positive comments you made about cannabis. You indicated marijuana is probably no more harmful than alcohol. Kudos to you !!

Just one thing however. Your drug czar has cannabis categorized as a hard narcotic like heroin or coke.

Can you call the czar and ask him to reduce the marijuana category to the same level as alcohol or cigarettes ?

That would be great !

As a result I’m sure you would see an immediate uptick in your poll numbers.

Perhaps you can use your phone and or pen to implement an executive order decriminalizing marijuana.

I think if you legalized marijuana you would go down in a historical blaze of glory !!!

Why Are Cops Against Legal Cannabis: Follow The $$

stacks-of-moneyIt’s all about the dollars. About $16 billion in cash as I was told. If you follow the money all roads lead to Rome. Rome meaning law enforcement agencies. And they are not giving up the grand prize without a fight.

I can’t quote names of sources or the cities they are from.
